What Gets Easier

Less scrambling at dinner - Use near-you activities, kitchen helper jobs, and short scripts when you’re trying to cook and your kid still wants attention.

A better plan for 4PM - Use the 7-Day 4PM Screen Reset for the late-afternoon window when everyone is tired and the iPad starts looking easy.

Backups for rainy and sick days - Keep low-prep indoor options ready for days when the house feels too small or nobody has much energy.

A quick move when you need 20 minutes - Use fast-start activities that buy you a real pocket of time without needing a big setup.

Less guilt later - Have something ready before the screen becomes the automatic answer again.

A first move that’s already picked - Use the Ready Replacement Card Builder to make a simple plan you can save, screenshot, or print for the fridge, counter, couch basket, or activity drawer.

The hard moment hits before the idea's ready.

It’s 4:17.

Dinner isn’t done yet. The sink has dishes in it. Your kid has already dumped out the blocks, abandoned the crayons, asked for a snack, rejected the snack, and now they’re standing there asking what they can do.

You know where this is going.

You probably have activity ideas saved somewhere. Pinterest posts, screenshots, free activity finders, random things you meant to try when you had more energy.

But none of that is open right now.

The iPad is.

That’s why it starts looking like the only thing that will work fast. And when you’re tired enough, fast starts winning.

Then the guilt hits later because you did care. You just didn’t have a better option ready in the moment.

The Ready Replacement System is built for that exact gap.

It helps you get simple activity backups ready before the hard part of the day hits, so you’re not standing there trying to invent something while your kid is already bored, restless, clingy, sick, wild, or asking for the screen.

Start with the window that keeps getting you.

Dinner. 4PM. Rainy days. Sick days. The twenty minutes when you need to get something done.

Pick one, make the replacement ready first, and use the rest of the system when you need more options.

The Ready Replacement System vs Your Activity Finder

Screen Smart Week Planner

Your Free Activity Finder

Pinterest Activities

Gives you activity ideas fast

Built around your hardest screen-default windows

Helps you prep dinner, 4PM, rainy days, sick days, and “I need 20 minutes”

Gives you scripts for when they ask for the iPad

PRINT-READY FOR THE FRIDGE

Helps before the hard moment hits

Keeps the replacement easier to reach than the iPad

Your Activity Finder is still useful. Keep using it.

The Ready Replacement System is for the moments that keep repeating, when you don’t want to search, scroll, or decide from scratch while everything is already going sideways.

How It Works

Step 1. Pick the Hard Window

Start with the part of the week where screens usually become the easiest answer.

Dinner, 4PM, sick days, stuck-inside days, or the moments where you need 20 minutes and don’t have time to search for ideas.

Step 2. Open the Matching Pack

The system is organized by real-life moments, so you don’t have to dig through a giant list of random activities.

If dinner is the problem, open the Dinner-Time Rescue Pack.
If late afternoon is the problem, use the 7-Day 4PM Screen Reset.
If the house feels too small, use the Stuck Inside pack.
If you need something fast, use the Emergency Activity Pack.

3. Keep the next move ready

Pick one activity to try first, one backup in case it flops, and one script for when they ask for the screen anyway.

Then, when you want the week planned out, use the Screen Smart Planner or one of the ready-made screen-free weeks so the next few days already have options picked.

If dinner is the problem, open the Dinner-Time Rescue Pack.

If late afternoon keeps sliding toward screens, open the 7-Day 4 PM Screen Reset.

If you need 20 minutes, open the 20-Minute Emergency Activity Pack.

If the house feels too small, open the Stuck Inside Pack.

If your kid is sick but still needs something to do, open the Sick Day Backup Pack.

If they’re already asking for the screen, use the Screen Request Scripts.

If you want one simple card for that window, use the Ready Replacement Card Builder.

If you want the next few days planned out, use the Screen Smart Week Planner or one of the ready-made weeks by age.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to totally get rid of screens to use this?

No! We know that's not realistic for most families. This system simply makes it easy for you to have activities in situations where screens usually take over.

Where should I start when I buy it?

Start with the Quick Start Guide. Pick one part of the week where screens usually become the easiest answer, then open the matching pack. You don’t need to use everything at once.

Do I need special supplies?

Not at all!

The activities are built around household items, simple toys, and basic supplies. It’s designed to be flexible, so if there’s something you don’t have, like playdough, painter’s tape, or stickers, you can use one of the backups or swap in something similar.

Supply examples include socks, bowls, towels, cups, paper, crayons, cardboard, couch cushions, blocks, stuffed animals, water, kitchen items, laundry items, and other basic kid supplies.

Is this a subscription?

Nope. One payment, use it forever. No recurring charges, no login required after purchase.

Is this an app?

No, but it functions similar to one. You get private access to it on our webpage. You can simply bookmark the page and easily return at any time.

What if my kid won't do the activities?

It's totally normal that they won't do every activity, which is why we make it very flexible. Every activity and every day has a swap button. Don't like what came up? Click swap, get a new activity or set of activities, depending on your choice. The planner adapts to your kid, not the other way around.

What ages does this work for?

Toddlers (1-3), preschool (3-5), and school age (5-8). Activities are filtered by age so you're not getting craft projects for a 2-year-old or baby games for a 7-year-old.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes. All our activity lists and other tools can be used on a phone. Parents say our planner is easiest on desktop or tablet but it also works on a phone.

What if it doesn't work for my family?

Email us at team@fightagainstscreens.com within 30 days of purchase. You'll get a full refund, no questions. We'd rather you get your money back than have something sitting unused.
